Joe Ferrer, CSCS, owner of Reroute Performance, founded the company in 2019. He has worked with professional athletes for 10 years in all major sports. Being a former college baseball player, Joe attributes his success to his communication with each player on an individual level.
He believes that the first rule in training an athlete is “do no harm.” Athletes come to performance coaches to get healthy, feel good, and perform at a higher level than they did the year before. His training philosophy has developed around those needs and the best way to assist in that process, one must understand the person’s sport, timetable on training, medical history, and personal goals – not just provide a ‘one size fits all’ daily workout routine.
Joe builds a plan for each client based upon their response to training, he then must REROUTE that plan monthly, weekly, daily, and even rep-to-rep based upon each client’s unique situation. He has built great relationships with hundreds of strength coaches, medical personnel and players within the MLB, NFL and NBA. As well as those player’s surrounding cast – agents, financial advisors and managers. He has worked very closely with the likes of Miguel Cabrera, J.D. Martinez, Giancarlo Stanton, Tommy Pham, Salvador Perez, Pablo Sandoval, Fernando Rodney, Jeurys Familia and among several hundred more.
